Combining 32+ Years Of Experience In Conventional Healthcare With Lifestyle And Functional Medicine.
Marie began her career in 1989 as a nursing assistant at the local hospital in Anderson, SC, while attending Clemson University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1992.
She continued working on a busy unit at the hospital while attending graduate school at Clemson University, graduating with a master’s degree in 1998, and was certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner that year as well.
During her career, Marie worked in a variety of healthcare settings including medical/surgical, long-term care, orthopedics, critical care, long-term acute care, and senior care units. She also taught nursing education in a 2-year college program.
Marie is currently retired but enjoys working with her daughter Theresa at Empower and Flourish, teaching people how to regain their health.
Her specialty is helping people with issues related to mindset and overcoming obstacles.
Marie and her husband Randy live in Anderson, SC, with their Maltese dog Aashka Bella.
Randy is retired from a career in journalism where he worked as an award winning sports editor.
Together, Marie and Randy have three grown children, a son-in-law, daughter-in-law, and six grown grandchildren.
They enjoy traveling and spending time with each other and their family as much as possible.
Marie and Randy attend church at Hope Fellowship Church in Anderson, S.C..
Marie and Randy have a passion for travel and hope to go on some grand adventures in the next few years.

Aashka is nearly 14 years old and still enjoys playing with her toys like when she was a puppy. She also loves to snuggle with her humans as much as possible.
The Mountains Are My Happy Place
Marie loves the mountains and hopes to resume hiking later this year. She enjoys experiencing God's creation in nature as often as possible.
